How to choose a vaporizer

Portable or at home, herbs or concentrates. Three questions get you most of the way there.

A vaporizer heats what you put in it without burning it. That sounds simple, but there is a lot to choose from. Three questions get you a long way.

What do you want to vaporize?

Some devices are made for dried herbs, others for concentrates. The Mighty from Storz & Bickel and the PAX are for herbs; the Peak from Puffco is for concentrates. That difference alone narrows down the list.

Where will you use it?

If you want to take it with you, look at size and battery. The PAX Mini fits in your pocket, the Mighty is bigger and heavier. If it mostly stays at home, size matters less.

How much do you want to adjust yourself?

Some models have a display for setting the exact temperature, others work with a few fixed settings. If ease is what you want, a simple model is often nicer. If you enjoy fine-tuning, more settings are a plus.
